15 Grant for Women in Business

Galaxy Grant: The Galaxy Grant provides new opportunities each month for minority- or women-owned businesses to receive $2,750.

Amber Grant: Founded in 1998 by WomensNet, the Amber Grant Foundation has a straightforward mission: to uplift women entrepreneurs. Every month, the foundation chooses a $10,000 grant recipient, and come December, an additional $25,000 grant is awarded to a woman entrepreneur with an extraordinary story.

Fresh Start Business Grant: This opportunity is for all aspiring entrepreneurs and new business owners in search of capital. Fresh Start Business Grant recipients will receive $2,500 and Incfile’s complimentary gold plan. Deadline is September 30.

SoGal Black Founder Startup Grant: The SoGal Foundation empowers Black women and Black nonbinary entrepreneurs with $5,000 or $10,000 SoGal Black Founder Startup Grants to fuel business dreams.

BREAKTHROUGH Grant: For Black and Latina women founders based in New York, there’s the BREAKTHROUGH Grant offered by digitalundivided’s BREAKTHROUGH Program, sponsored by JPMorgan Chase’s Advancing Black Pathways. Eligible businesses must be established for at least one year with a minimum annual revenue of $50,000 and a website or mobile app. Winners will not only receive a $5,000 grant but also benefit from a business mentor, sessions with industry leaders and the Entrepreneur in Residence, access to digitalundivided’s community of Latina and Black women entrepreneurs, and post-program support.

High Five Grants for Moms: The High Five Grants for Moms grant, brought to you by The Mama Ladder® supports mom entrepreneurs. A panel of judges will select the finalists, and the top three winners will be determined through a public vote. The grand prize winner will receive a $25,000 grant, the runner-up will be awarded $10,000, and the third-place finalist will receive $5,000. Applications are open from September 1-30, 2023.

HerRise Micro-Grant: HerRise Micro-Grant for women of color entrepreneurs is a remarkable initiative brought to you by the Yva Jourdan Foundation, Inc., a respected HerSuiteSpot non-profit organization. In support of women of color entrepreneurs, each month, a distinguished female business owner is selected to receive a $1,000 micro-grant. These funds can be utilized for various purposes, including the acquisition of business equipment, marketing endeavors, website development, and more. Applications close on the last day of each month and there is a $10 fee to apply.

Beyond Open Small Business Grant: For diverse founders in Charlotte’s Corridors of Opportunity, aims to provide capital to businesses located within Charlotte’s Corridors of Opportunity and owned by individuals from diverse backgrounds, including women, minorities, veterans, LGBTQ+ individuals, and persons with disabilities. Round 2 Beyond Open Small Business Grant recipients can receive amounts ranging from $10,000 to $150,000. Accepting applications from August 1 – August 31.

The Coalition to Back Black Businesses Grant: This initiative, launched in 2020, The Coalition to Back Black Businesses Grant aims to support Black business owners impacted by COVID. Backed by ADP, AIG Foundation, Altice USA, American Express, Dow, and the S&P Global Foundation, the grant offers several awards, including 14 grants of $25,000 each, along with training and mentorship to Black-owned businesses with three to 20 employees in economically vulnerable or distressed communities.

Atomic Grant: The Atomic Grant recognizes women entrepreneurs driven to create impactful change. Winners receive a $1,500 grant, coaching, and a year’s subscription to Passion Collective On Demand. You Glow Girl Women Entrepreneur Grant: Presented by Eat Me Guilt Free, the You Glow Girl Women Entrepreneur Grant fuels female entrepreneurs’ business growth. Established in 2021, this program offers a $10,000 grant, a one-year supply of Eat Me Guilt Free items, mentorship from founder and CEO Cristie Besu, and a physical health and wellness product. Application opens on October 19, 2023.

Small Business Growth Fund (Round 2): In collaboration with the Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN) and supported by Etsy and Progressive, Hello Alice is offering Small Business Growth Fund grants ranging from $5,000 to $25,000 to help small business owners accelerate their growth. If your business has less than $1M in annual revenue, a commitment to your customers and community, and a clear plan to utilize the grant funds, sign up now to apply. The deadline is July 21, 2023, at 6:00pm EDT.

Corporate Counsel Women of Color (CCWC) Entrepreneur Grant: If you’re a Black woman or a woman of color business owner, the Corporate Counsel Women of Color (CCWC) Entrepreneur Grant is offering $5,000 grants along with access to educational programs, mentorships with lawyers, networking opportunities, and discounts with LegalZoom and Office Depot.

Build Your Legacy Grant: Partnering with Pine-Sol, Essence presents the Build Your Legacy Grant. Each year, one Black woman entrepreneur is selected through a voting process to receive a $100,000 grant and six months of business coaching.

Invest in Progress Grant: Available through The Boss Impact Fund. The Invest in Progress Grant, created by Boss Network and Sage, aims to invest in Black women-owned businesses and provide resources for building and growing companies. Over the next three years, a total of $1.5 million will be distributed to grant recipients. Each recipient will receive $10,000, a one-year scholarship to BOSS Business University, and monthly mentoring from BOSS or a selected agency.
